This book is a wonderful romp of imagination. It is so clever in its premise to be a read-aloud that will banish monsters while illustrating the wide variety of amazing monsters now having to flee from the effects of the spell. Readers will love this story. The book looks professionally made and the balance of text and image formatting among the vivid illustrations is excellently accomplished. Adults and kids will enjoy reading this together and alone as independent reading skills improve. Perfect for the target audience who might feel some anxiety surrounding bedtime, whether that manifests in getting rid of monsters from under the bed or not. The imagination and introduction of creating a silly and fun “spell” to banish the monster problem can be a great and fun way to help dissolve worries or other things that kids might feel unsure of. Great story.
